The Second Renaissance — read the manifesto ↗
Before anything, before everything,
there was energy.

A manifesto for human art
The Second Renaissance
Make evidence that you were alive.
Before a painting exists, something happens between a human being and the world. A hand moves. Paint meets a surface. An intention changes. The world answers. The finished work carries the trace of that encounter.
The Second Renaissance is my invitation to reclaim that encounter. As machines take on more of what we do, we can choose to spend the time we regain making, noticing, risking, and finding meaning through our own participation.
You do not need a credential, an audience, or permission. You need to show up.
The machines can have productivity.
We will take back purpose.
