THREE NEW PIECES ADDED AND FIVE MORE SOLD
With lots of pics below!
So, I’ve been busy trying to add more to my portfolio in anticipation of an exhibition soon to be announced (pending COVID). I held a little home art show recently and avalanche was the big hit, so naturally I want to leverage that success to create more pieces like it. In case you missed my post on avalanche, click here.
My new pieces in the gallery include the LARGE “dark angel” pictured above (4′ x 5’… massive!), as well as “interference” (16″ x 40″) and “catalyst” (18″ x 24″). I’ve got a lot of media pics below to share about each one so my write up tonight will be brief…
Basically, I wanted to use different mediums to see what exact formula and consistency I needed in order to create the cracking effect just like I achieved with avalanche. You will see below that catalyst was a success! However the other two are splendid, as well. In fact, I chose not to add more layers of resin to each of these because I like the way that it fans out at the edges… I find that this enhanced the imagery of each, giving a little more texture to the work. It also means less materials and so cost and price don’t have to be so high. =) Let me know if you are interested in purchasing any of these or if you’d like to commission a unique piece with colors and a composition you can help to select!
Lastly, I mentioned my recent home show… I had some friends and family over to celebrate the KVIE auction with me (socially distant sold for $375! =). I set up my home like a gallery with all my recent works on display and ended up selling several pieces! I am so grateful to be supported by such wonderful friends. So that means gold leaf, paradise above, ghost rider, as well as a couple previously unannounced pieces titled sea mist 1 & 2, all went to new homes this month!
See below for detailed pics of my new items available for sale. Thanks for reading!
